By default pst-file or ost-file size can grow as large as 20GB in Outlook 2007 & 50 GB in Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 & office 365. If you configured Outlook to download shared folders, the content of shared folders will be stored in the local offline Outlook data (.ost) file. One way is to uncheck Download shared folders in the Cached Exchange Mode settings, in that case, your Shared Mailbox will be connecting directly to the Exchange Server. Or you can increase the .ost/.pst file size through the registry edit.
Make sure you backup from your Registry, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly.
